Redmi Note 9 Pro
The Redmi Note 9 Pro was launched yesterday for a starting price of rs 12999. Let us see today whether the device is worth buying and whether it is really a Pro and deserves the 'Pro' moniker.
Design
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for the back as well as the front. The device feels quite good in the hand and also sports a simple gradient colour which looks quite good and feels very premium in the hand. Overall the design is one of the best out there under 15k.
Display
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a 6.67 inch display which is an LCD Panel with a resolution of FHD+. The device has a good display, but the major problem in comparison to it's primary competitor The Realme 6 is the fact that this has a 60 hertz refresh instead of the smoother 90 hertz refresh rate. The display is an area where they could do better. The display also has a single punch hole display.
Performance
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 720G Processor which is a budget processor meant for gaming in the mid-range segment. The device performs quite well but loses out to the Snapdragon 730G found on the Poco X2.
Cameras
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a quad camera setup with a primary 48 megapixel sensor paired with a 8 megapixel ultra wide sensor, a 2 megapixel macro sensor and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The cameras are quite good but lose out to the Realme 6 as it has a 64 megapixel primary sensor which is a bit better.
Verdict
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a good display, a good camera setup and a good processor. But, the device costs the same as the Realme 6 and loses out in many ways to the Realme 6 as it has a 90hz refresh rate, 64mgp sensor, 30W fast charging. Overall, the Note 9 Pro is not actually a 'PRO' according to me.
