Vivo S1 Pro
The Vivo S1 Pro was launched today as the successor or the bigger brother to the the Vivo S1 from Vivo. The device seems to come with a different design for the camera and a few differences. Let us see whether the device is worth buying or you should just skip it.
Design
The Vivo S1 Pro comes with a design similar to the Vivo S1, but in a few colours, blue, the similar white gradient and a black colour. The device looks and feels quite premium with branding placed vertically. The device looks good and feels well built. It also sports a 4500 Mah battery.
Display
The Vivo S1 Pro comes with a 6.38 inch FHD+ display which is a Super Amoled display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display is quite good and comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor similar to it's younger sibling, the Vivo S1. The display is good and has great viewing angles with adequate brightness but may lose out to Samsung devices in it's competition.
Performance
The Vivo S1 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 665 processor which is a good processor found in budget devices. It has good performance, but considering the starting pice of the device almost all devices in it's price segment or less hav better performance.
Cameras
The Vivo S1 Pro comes with a 32 megapixel sensor for selfies, paired with a quad amera setup in the back housing a primary 48 megapixel sensor, a 8 megapixel wide angle sensor and two 2 megapixel sensors for macro and depth shots. Hardware wise the cameras are good but not the best, but only time will tell how good the cameras really are.
Verdict
The Vivo S1 Pro comes with a good display, a good but lacking processor and a seemingly good set of cameras. All this is bundled into the device for a starting price of 20k and for that price, I recommend the device only to those who consider a device more of a fashion statement than a device and for those who love taking selfies from a "Vivo" device.
