Vivo V17

The Vivo V17 was launched today as part of the V series from Vivo. The device was launched as a base or budget version of the V17 Pro. The device seems to come with somewhat of a questionable design philosophy, So, let us see whether the device is worth buying.

Design

The Vivo V17 comes with a beautiful looking design that also houses a plain but very somber looking back panel. It comes with a varying colour type with simple gradient print. It looks quite good and appeals to somber and beautiful to the eye.

Display

The Vivo V17 comes with a 6.44 inch display which has Amoled technology with a resolution of FHD+. The display also houses a punch hole display with a slim chin. Hence, the display is quite good in the competition.

Performance

The Vivo V17 comes with a Snapdragon 675 processor which is one of the best budget processors or midrange processors in the performance spectrum. However, considering the price the chipset could have been a better chipset such as the 7 series or even 8 series processor.

Cameras

The Vivo V17 comes with a quad camera setup with a primary 48 megapixel sensor paired with a 8 megapixel ultra-wide sensor with two 2 megapixel sensors with a macro and a depth sensor. The quality of hardware is good but the overall review will take a while. It also houses a 32 megapixel selfie camera.

Verdict

The Vivo V17 comes with a good display, an average processor and a good camera. But considering the asking price of 23k, the device is not a good choice and all these features can be had for a lot less.

The device seems to be very good looking but is very fragile and is a fingerprint magnet which will get dirty very quickly. So, a case is strongly advised.
