Samsung Galaxy A01
The Samsung Galaxy A01 was recently univeled and is a budget offering from Samsung within it's A series of devices. The Samsung Galaxy A01 seems to be a regular plain budget device with the same old- same old. Let's see whether this is true.
Design
The Samsung A01 comes with a design which resembles the design of the Galaxy A10 in more ways than one. The device has the same look as the A10 and also comes in the same 3 colours as the A10. The device is a budget device and is built as a budget device too.
Display
The Galaxy A01 comes with a 5.7 inch LCD Display with a resolution of HD+. The display is not great but certainly is better than other offerings in the budget segment due to the fact that the display is a LCD display. The device comes with a thick chin, but as a budget device that is pretty common.
Performance
The Galaxy A01 comes with an octacore chipset but it is unclear which chipset is being talked about here. It could be the Snapdragon 439 or the Helio P22 or an Exynos processor. This is an area which will be updated as soon as more information is available from Samsung or any other forum.
Cameras
The Galaxy A01 comes with a dual camera setup 13 megapixel sensor and a secondary 2 megapixel depth sensor. The device also has a 5 megapixel selfie camera. The cameras are good but considering the supposed competition it does not seem to be the clear winner.
Verdict
The Galaxy A01 seems to be a slightly different A10 with OneUI 2.0 and Android 10 onboard. The device also has a 128 GB storage option for budget users. This all seems average and with a rumoured price of around
8k. There are certainly much better devices out there.
