Redmi K30
The Redmi K30 was launched today in china as the successor to the very popular Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. It houses a few new features and an astonishing price tag. Let us see whether all this will result in real world sales.
Design
The Redmi K30 comes with a fully glass body with a few different finishes with a gradient differing from the K20 but still separating it from other devices. The device comes in blue-purple, red-pink and lavender. These look veery different and make the device standout.
Display
The Redmi K30 comes with a 6.67 inch LCD Panel with a resolution of FHD+ panel. It houses a display with a refresh rate of 120hz. The device is the only device in it's budget (in china) to house a 120z display. The refresh rate on the device makes it super fast and ultra responsive. It has one of the best and most responsive displays from Xiaomi.
Performance
The Redmi K30 houses a Snapdragon 765G processor with 5G support. The processor is comparable to highly powerful chipset with a gaming focus. It is initially aimed at the Helio G90T and the Snapdragon 730. This has one of the best processors in it's budget.
Cameras
The Redmi K30 houses a quad camera setup in a housing panel that looks out of the norm for some and appeals to others. The camera sensors present within it are the 64 megapixel IMX 686 sensor from Sony, paired with an 8 megapixel wide angle camera and two 2 megapixel depth and macro lenses. The cameras are quite good and perform quite well and there will also be a separate camera review coming after the India launch.
Verdict
The Redmi K30 comes with a lot of great features and a good camera setup pared with a processor which is quite powerful and as an added bonus the best and smoothest display in it's price range. When we consider the converted price from Yen as 16k for the 4G variant and 20k for the 5G variant, this device is literally the best device under 20k by a long margin.
