Razer Phone 2
The Razer Phone 2 was launched almost a whole year ago as part of the Razer series which is essentially a gaming console within a phone. This has aged a bit but still seems to offer some good specs. Let us see whether thi is worth buying in 2020.
Design
The Razer Phone 2 comes with a design found on gaming devices which are usually unconvential and wildly different from the usual crowd. The device has 90 degree angles on all sides without any curves and feels heavy and bulky which makes it feel like a tank. This device according to me should be used without a case as it is already so well built. The device also has a Razer logo to the back which is a RGB Logo meaning it is continually glowing.
Display
The Razer Phone 2 comes with a 5.72 IGZO IPS LCD Display with a resolution of QHD+. THe device also ones with Corning' Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The display has a max brightness of 580 nits and a refresh rate of 120hz similar to it's primary competitor the Asus ROG Phone II. The device has a good display, but an Amoled display would have been a bit better
Performance
The Razer Phone 2 comes with the Snapdragon 845 onboard which is a great processor but has slightly aged. Considering the age of the device the chipset is what should be expected. The chipset is also over locked to provide better performance than other devices sporting the same chipset.
Cameras
The Razer Phone 2 comes with a dual camera setup with a primary 12 megapixel sensor paired with a 12 megapixel depth sensor with 2x Optical zoom. The cameras are aged and the quality itself is adequate but does not compete with devices even under 20k. The cameras simply are the worst and weakest part of the device.
Verdict
The Razer Phone 2 comes with good performance, a good display and adequate cameras. Gaming devices are already not mass products bought by many people and considering the device and it's price of around 25,000 rupees the device is good but for the price, other devices are available.
