Huawei P30
The Huawei P30 was launched alongside the P30 series from Huawei. It is the toned down version of the Huawei P30 Pro. Let us see whether the P30 is worth buying in 2019 or we should ignore this device.
Design
The Huawei P30 comes with a glass design similar to the Huawei P30 Pro. It comes in similar looking gradients but with a few less options. The device looks modern and funky and also has a plain black colour for the sophisticated users. The device looks and feels quite sturdy in the hand and has a premium feel to it.
Display
The Huawei P30 comes with a 6.1 inch FHD+ display which is an Amoled display. The display also has support for HDR10 which is a relatively new feature found on flagship devices. The display is plenty bright and has a thin chin and a small water drop notch. The display is quite accurate in terms of colours and is definitely one of the best displays out there.
Performance
The Huawei P30 comes with the Kirin 980 processor which has aged a bit as it has been succeeded by the Kirin 990 which also has support for 5G. The device has a powerful chipset which is comparable to the Snapdragon 845 but is a bit aged considering the price of the device.
Cameras
The Huawei P30 comes with a triple camera setup with a primary 40 megapixel sensor paired with a 8 megapixel telephoto sensor and a 16 megapixel ultra wide sensors. The cameras are quite good and perform well in most scenarios even at night. The telephoto capabilities of this device however are amazing and are one of the best features of this device.
Verdict
The Huawei P30 comes with a great display, a powerful but aged processor and a very good set of cameras. This device is available on Amazon.com for a price of $510 and for that price, if you want a powerful device in a not so expensive package and don,t mind Chinese devices, this is the device for you.
