Samsung Galaxy Fold
The Samsung Galaxy Fold was initially supposed to be launched in April but due to it's 'Fragile' conditions the device was recalled and delayed. It was relaunched sometime ago. Let us see whether you should spend your money and pay for the best device from Samsung till date.
Design
The Galaxy Fold comes with a folding body with two different displays. The device is made up of glass and has a hinge separating the device into two different parts. It also has the hinge that keeps dust and small pieces of debris out from the body of the device. It folds outwards and houses two different displays.
Display
The Galaxy Fold houses two different displays, a smaller 4.6 inch OLED Display and a secondary, larger 7.3 inch Plastic-OLED Display. The Secondary display is similar to a Tablet's display. The device also is more fragile in the part of the second display. It is much more prone to scuffs and scratches. However, the display is impeccable and is the one of the best displays around. The displays also house a notch with dual front cameras. The notch may seem cumbersome but is actually functional.
Performance
The Galaxy Fold comes with a Snapdragon 855 processor. It is lacking to the 855+ and does not have the same processor as it was in development in April when the device was supposed to be launched. The device can perform quite well and lacks only to Apple's Bionic chipsets. The 855 also makes the device smooth and easy to function.
Cameras
The Galaxy Fold comes with a triple camera setup. The primary sensor being a 16 megapixel camera paired with dual 12 megapixel sensors. The cameras are the same ones found on the S10+ and are of A+ quality and sometimes give Apple and Huawei a run for their money. Overall the cameras are quite good and are at par with other flagships.
Verdict
The Foldhas a modern and innovative display, a powerful flagship processor and a good set of cameras, But ( and yes there is a BUT). The device is good but one major issue is that the device is new and lacks the mainstream level image that most devices have, also the device had a few issues and even after fixing these, the device is still fragile. Overall the device is one of the best devices and if you want to buy a great, innovative phone, you should really buy it. However, if you are a regular user you should not buy it, as it starts at rupees 1,65,000.
