Redmi Note 8 Pro
The Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched a few days back as the successor to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. It is the direct competitor to the Realme 5 Pro. Let us see whether it is worth considering at it's price point.
Design
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a glass back which also has a simple finish. It looks quite somber with three finishes Green, White and Black. Overall the design spectrum is well covered in the device.
Display
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53 FHD+ Display with LCD technology. It comes with a great color accuracy with good viewing angles and a bright and beautiful display. It however is LCD whereas it should have come with Amoled Display.
Performance
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a Helio G90T chipset. For some people it may not be a snapdragon chipset but when you compare that the device has a chipset almost powerful as the Snapdragon 730G
Cameras
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a quad camera setup with a 64 megapixel primary camera from Samsung, a 8 megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro lens. To sum it up in a short way, the Note 8 Pro houses one of the best cameras under 20k
Verdict
The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with quite good cameras, an average but good quality LCD Panel, the best chipset under 20k. But, it lacks an indisplay fingerprint sensor, and an amoled display which the Realme XT at 16000 ( rupees 1000 more) comes with. This makes the choice a bit tougher, but for ease of users , if you want the device for media consumption don't buy it but, if performance is what you yearn for, The Note 8 Pro is the pick for you.
