Realme 5s
The Realme 5s was recently launched to replace the Realme 5 as a budget offering from Realme to compete with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 8. The device seems to pack one major feature which may even defeat the Redmi Note 8. Let us see whether you should consider buying this device.
Design
The Reame 5s comes with a design similar to the Realme 5 with Realme's patented diamond design with only one separating factor being the new diamond red colour. The device has a polycarbonate back that seems to have advantages and disadvantages.
Display
The Realme 5s comes with a 6.5 inch display which is an LCD Display with a resolution of HD+. Considering it's competition it should have come with an FHD+ panel, however as far as HD+ panels go, the device has a good display.
Performance
The Realme 5s comes with a Snapdragon 665 processor which is a processor found in most other devices in the 10k price range. The Redmi Note 8 also sports the same processor as the Realme 5s. Hence, the device has no problem in the performance department.
Cameras
The Realme 5s comes with a quad camera setup with a primary 48 megapixel sensor from Samsung paired with a 8 megapicel ultra wide and 2 2 megapixel depth and macro sensors. The device matches the note 8 in the camera department and is one of the top devices in the 10k budget with a good camera.
Verdict
The Realme 5s comes with a good display, a powerful processor and a great camera. It does not have the USB Type-C port and does not support fast charging. Hence, if you want the best, go with a Redmi Note 8 while if you don't like Xiaomi devices and want the next best thing, then the Realme 5 is for you.
