Nokia 6.2
The Nokia 6.2 was launched as part of Nokia's new .2 lineup. It was launched in the heavily competitive budget segment. Let us see whether the device is worth buying.
Design
The Nokia 6.2 comes with a plain and simple glass back, which is quite different from the glossy plastic backs found in most other devices in it's budget. The glass too lacks any design or gradient and in Simple Nokia fashion looks quite premium and somber. The device however is made of glass which is quite fragile and may be prone to shattering, so a case on the device is highly advisable.
Display
The Nokia 6.2 houses an LCD display of 6.3 inches. The device has FHD+ resolution. The separating factor of this device is the HDR10 support and the Always On Display found on it. This makes the device a bit different from it's competitors. The panel is good but could have been Amoled which would have been even better.
Performance
The Nokia 6.2 comes with a Snapdragon 636 the only quiver in it's arrow. The processor is a budget processor from a year and a half ago and just can't be justified on a device in the 15k segment in 2019. Technically, the chipset can handle moderate tasks quite nicely but knowing that other devices house 7 series processors from Snapdragon, it just gets defeated in this department.
Cameras
The Nokia 6.2 houses a triple camera setup with a 16 megapixel primary camera, a 8 megapixel ulltrawide camera and a 5 megapixel depth sensor. The cameras are quite good but in the hardware department lose out as most devices in it's budget now come with 64 or 48 megapixel cameras. The cameras however are good but lose out when compared to the competition.
Verdict
The Nokia 6.2 comes with a lot of good features with a premium build to support it's case. However it loses out in terms of cameras and performance. Considering it's 14-15k price, it just does not make sense to buy a device with such poor performance.
