Google Pixel 3
"Is it still worth the $600"
The Pixel 3 was launched back in 18th of october in 2018. It became very famed and a matter of discussion because of it's bigger brother's hated 'bath tub' notch. Let us see whether it is still worth $600 in 2019.
Display
The Pixel 3 comes with a 5.5 inch 18:9 aspect ratio. It is FHD+ OLED display with 443 ppi. It has vibrant colors and has good blacks due to the fact that it has an OLED screen. The display may face burn-in issues in the future but all such screens are expected to face this problem sometime or the other.
Design
The Pixel 3 comes with a full glass design protected by Gorilla Glass 5 in the front and the back. The glass is divided into two different finishes, one bit glossy and the other part frosted in design. This gives it a very charismatic look.
Performance
The Pixel 3 comes with the Snapdragon 845 chipset with the Adreno 630 GPU. This is a bit outdated in comparison to the newer Snapdragon 855 chipset. It is a bit lower in performance in comparison to the Snapdragon 855. But it is not bad at all and should be adequate in most day-to-day tasks.
Camera
The Pixel 3 has a 12.2 megapixel single camera with an f 1.8 aperture which has a 76 degree field of view. Long story short the Pixel 3 was the best camera of 2018 with exceptional details and dynamic range. The phone still holds up quite well to the 2019 flagships and gives them a run for their money.
Verdict
The Pixel 3 lacks the wow factor that most flagships seem to offer but makes up for it with exceptional cameras, smooth and buttery software and an update schedule matched only by Apple. This makes it seem to be the best deal at $600 for someone who seems to want the best cameras with bloat free software and constant updates.
