Is The Galaxy S9 Even Worth Considering In 2019?
The Galaxy S9 was launched in march of 2018 which makes it a year and a half old. In the modern days of smartphones, this duration makes it a really old device due to pace of advancements in the smartphone world. Let's see whether it deserves to be considered in late 2019.
Design
The Galaxy S9 comes with a glass design with a plain surface without any gradient finish which is common in many modern smartphones. It may appear dull and aged but they seem to give off a sense style and class. They scratch and scuff as easily, so a case is always advised.
Display
The Galaxy S9 comes with a 5.8 inch curved O-LED Display which comes with the S-Amoled Display which produces excellent colors and has impeccable sharpness which is common in most Samsung flagships. These are quad HD displays and to sum it up, if you want the best screen, it covers the department quite nicely.
Performance
The S9 comes with the Exynos 8910 which is Samsung's own homegrown sensor of 10nm chipset. It is quite comparable to the Snapdragon 845. This means it is able to perform very well in most tasks like playing heavy titles or editing. This makes it as good as any modern flagship.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with a 12 megapixel camera in this age of triple or quad cameras. But, with good hardware and good software the Samsung S9 gives most modern flagships a good fight and is as good as any flagship. This means that any worries about the device's camera performance can be forgotten.
Verdict
The S9 comes with quite good cameras, adequate design, a well made device with a nice Chipset and the greatest feature being the Display of the Samsung devices. All this can be purchased at a base price of rupees 30000 and for that it is the best deal at it's price range. But, (And yes there is a but) if you want the latest software then you will be disappointed by Samsung's lackluster commitment to software. If you don't require the latest software, then it is the best deal for 30000.
