Xiaomi Might be the Next Apple, Here's Why

Xiaomi as a brand has been the cause for change in the Indian smartphone market. The price-competitive devices that we have in the market today exist because of one and, only one reason. This reason is Redmi. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi freed the consumer from the shackles of devices from the likes of Lava, Micromax, Karbonn and more, who offered cheap devices but lacked certain basics of a smartphone that enhanced the usability aspect. The disrupter, the Redmi Note 3.  In 2015, the usual smartphone was a run of the mill Micromax with a cheap plastic build, lacklustre specifications and poor quality cameras. To add to this, the basics of a smartphone such as a good display, a simple, easy to use UI were found in a handful of phones. Then, came the Redmi Note 3. The device shook up the market in such a manner, that Micromax had to take a leave of absence and return back in 2020, without the glory of it’s former, shady past. The Redmi Note 3 offered a huge display, a good set of ...

Why the Samsung Galaxy Note Will Not be Missed.

The story behind Samsung is quite interesting. The company was formed way back in 1939 as a trading store, which is around 6 decades before smartphones started catching. During the late 1960s, the brand moved on to create it’s electronics division, dubbed “Samsung Electronics”. This was the beginning of one of the largest electronics companies in the world. During the 1970s, the electronics division began exporting home electronic products all over the world. The Beginning of the Note Image Credits : Android Central Fast forward to 30 years later and cue the Samsung Galaxy series of smartphones. In 2009, the Galaxy series was released and, in the initial moments, customers and consumers were subject to a few cold feet. However, as it is often said, it is the product that defines the brand and, in this case, the product defined the brand very well. The smartphones, soon after their release, could frequently be spotted on top of the annual list of most selling smartphones, which sp...

Motorola Edge+ "Bye Moto"

Motorola Edge+ Motorola recently introduced the Motorola Edge+ in the Indian market for a staggering price of 75k INR. This is also Motorola’s newest flagship entrant and the last Motorola flagship was launched in 2016, so does this mean that Motorola is too late or is this just enough to make a difference? This is what is going to be elaborated in this article. Do note this is not any kind of a review, it is more of a brief overview of the specifications of the device mentioned above. Design The Motorola Edge does not bring a major difference in terms of it’s design to the market in general. It is a rather conservative design with the exception of the curved display which used to be a trait of Samsung flagships but is now no longer viable for the market in general. Why was this so? The major reason for this was the fact that the curved display resulted in a host of issues including but not limited to accidental touches, irregular placement of power and volume rockers to name a f...

Dear Realme "You Need To Slow Down"

Realme Narzo Series “Dear Realme- Stop IT!!!” The Realme Narzo series was recently introduced In India and it is supposedly launched for those who are performance driven and is basically tailored around millennials, but it seems that Realme is so lost with it’s new X3 Zoom and the 60x milky way option, that they evidently found extraterrestrial life and have made the Narzo series for the inhabitants of Mars, because if this is what Realme thinks the millennials want which is basically rebranded expensive junk then in that world, the Essential Ph-1 was a success!. To those who don’t understand what i am trying to say, do refer the blog posts for the Realme Narzo 10 and 10A. Let us discuss what Realme has done wrong and why according to me their success is soon going to be ‘Captured!’ Case 1: The New Narzo 10A Let me get this straight to those thinking this is a completely new phone, wake up and get out of the Fanboy world. See, i am not against rebranding but this device is’nt a d...

Xiaomi's Biggest Failure?

Mi 10 “Too Expensive Or Misjudged” The Mi 10 is a recently launched device that was meant to revive the flagship market with an entrant from the great “XIAOMI MI SERIES”, however upon launch it received poor responses and was highly reprimanded for it’s price to value ratio. But, is it really so or are we highly mistaken? This is what i will discuss today. Do note this is not a review or initial impressions so i will not be diving deep into the device’s specifications, instead I will be explaining the things that went wrong and how Xiaomi could somehow fix them!   What Went Wrong (Hint It’s A Lot!) Let’s start with the basics, what could Xiaomi had done to fix this and what led to this kind of an Impression? I will be discussing in detail with the impact of certain other (1+) competitors and then I will be discussing what Xiaomi could have done better. 1.   Impact Of OnePlus:   We cannot ignore what a hu...
